Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Please help identify this upper

I have an upper receiver, flat top, got it from a store new, but I'd like to identify the manufacturer.

The only thing on the upper at all is an "M" on the front of the reciver, right above the delta rings and on the flat top front.

Is this model 1?

How can you identify Vulcan uppers, for future reference?  I know they are plastic...but is it obvious when you hold/touch/manipulate them?  I've not seen one as of yet, and I'm sure damn hoping this isn't one!

Does it have stripes cut into the brass deflector?

No, no stripes - I noticed that some of the Vulcan uppers have those stripes and some do not?
