I have used and mounted M33 and M44 rails, I have also mounted and used KAC RAS and RASII, I have reviewed the surefire M73 and YHM 2 piece carbine rails (I currently use the YHM over the RASII).  For that kind of coin I would go aluminum, either the Surefire, or the YHM, I have them reviewed here:  AR15reviews.com.  HTH
