Yeah, that's the pic that made me start thinking about the 9.5 FSP!  Beautiful carbine!

here's the specs:

originally started life as a post ban Bushmaster 14.5(M4). ADCO removed the miniY comp, added the DD 9.5FSP, a pre ban mil spec(F marked) front site tower, and pinned and welded a Yankee hill 5 slot closed bottom phantom flash hider(I sent). It has the ARMS #40L rear BUIS, and Tangodown rail panels and VFG. I added the VLTOR Clubfoot collapsable with VLTOR receiver extension from WES at MSTN. The 'Duckbill' grip came from Dennysguns.

Thanks to all the vendors that made it happen, you will be draining my wallet again soon.

Yojimbo,

The DD 9.5 FSP show is not complete, still waiting on the new Troy Ind, BUIS and have moved a few things around.  The DD 9.5 shown is the new version, note that on the 12 o'clock rail they covered more of the gas tube (ie. the rail comes closer to the front sight post and not as much of the gas tube is exposed) on the newer model

Jeff,

I'm glad Daniel Defense closed the gas tube gap with new model 9.5 FSP, it looks a lot better.  BTW, do you have any pics of it without the rail covers?

Oh, and nice paint job!

Steve,

Great carbines!  Is that a KAC flip up front sight on the third one?

I love the way the paint came out on that bottom one.  It gives it a kind of chameleon look.

Yojimbo,

I don't haven any pics of the DD 9.5 without the rail covers.  Shoot me an email @ [email protected] and I'll take a couple for you.

The furniture is VLTOR and Tango Down's Coyote Brown.  I used a sniper's viel (you can also use a laundry bag or numerous other mesh items) to make the pattern.  I used Krylon OD Green, Khaki, and Medium Brown....(the sage green color is Rustolium's Army Green) to over spray the Coyote Furniture.

On both of these, I noticed somekind of lock collars (with an allen?) behind the receiver end plates, what are those?

Sweet looking uppers!  BTW, I'm surprised to see there's so many ARMS 40a BUIS's on them.  I thought the Troy was BUIS of choice these days...

It also looks like a mjority of those uppers will be sporting EOTech's!

Is it my eyes or does it appear that Daniel Defense has done away with the 'gap' between the front sight base and the upper rail that was present on its previous 9.5 revision?  It looks MUCH better.  That gap never really looked right to me, but these new rev's........I may have to get one of these.

Those are the old 9.5's.  They closed the gap on the newer ones.
