I want to build a lightweight carbine with pre-ban features, chrome lined barrel. I see that Bushmaster has a lightweight upper, but it looks like it has no flash hider. Is there another brand out there that makes this config? I'm not sure if I want to go A2 or A3 yet, so I don't think that is an issue.  Thanks in advance.

Bushmaster's lightweight barrel comes with or without a flash suppressor and bayo lug. You just have to choose the correct option.

Model 1 makes a lighweight upper, but it's not chrome-lined.

Bushmaster makes the barrel in both form (matter of fact they were offering the 'no-ban' version first).

Go with the flattop - with a ARMS#40 BUIS it's lighter than the A2 and it has more flexibility.

J&T also has one, although it is not listed on their site yet.  Mine should be on the way now.   Check their forum in the Industry section or give them a call.
