planning a build and looking for options...

I like 16" barrels, but I don't like the look with the shorty handguards.  Also want 1/7 so I can't get an midlength gas system upper...

I like the upper look with the YHM, but don't want the tube to end in the middle of the cutout or right before it...

A regular mid length tube on a CAR barrel barely covers the gas block.  It ends about an inch before the cutout.

A rifle length tube extends a little more than an inch past the cutout.

The YHM "Specter" length tube is about 1/2" longer than the mid-length tube.  It will completely cover the gas block, but stop just before the cutout.

Or if you didn't mind spending the extra $$$, the Daniel Defense 9.5FSP looks really good, and still leaves your front sight intact.
