Would it be possible to build a .50 cal AR pistol?

Are you mad?  Other than that, it should be possible.

If you want big and gas operated, try shooting a Desert Eagle .50 AE first. If you can handle that, then move up to the S&W .500. If and only if you're not satisfied after shooting both of those can you consider a Beowulf AR-based pistol.

As a practical matter, I'd guess you'd have problems with pistol buffer system. You'd probably have to use a carbine buffer and tube.

Take a buffer tube meant for an RRA entry stock. Buy an 11.5 inch upper from AA. Maybe they'll sell you one, maybe they won't. Ergo grip would be good, in any case you need something with more mass to it to keep ahold of it. Something straighter than A2.

The Desert Eagle is so big, and with the gas system, the .50 doesn't have that "much" felt recoil IMHO. Now, if you are talking a .454 Freedom Arms with Corbon Penetrators!

LW? No. I have only shot the .475 Tremor and .50AE ARs. Both worked fine, although after the Tremor my shoulder did not.

Any chance of coming up with a shot shell for a .50 Be Wolf pistol,? Handloaded? Something simular to the snake charmers for the .357,.45 ect... Only with some buckshot? Wonder if it would legally be considered a short barreled shotgun, or a legal pistola? That is if you could ever get it to run right. Wonder if Tony at Tromix has ever considered something like this?

I wonder if it would be possible to chamber an AR10 upper in .410?
