Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - RRA 16" R4 barrel on BM M4A2

I just ordered a Pre-ban RRA 16" R4 for my bushmaster post ban M4 (With the Y comp brake).

Is there any potential issue matting the RRA barrel on the BM?  How does the RRA finish and the BM finish compare in relation to one another?  How is RRA  on  delivery times?




I will be having my gun smith change the barrel out.

Should be no problem. I believe both RRA and Bushmaster use rifle barrel extensions, so putting the new RRA barrel on your old Bushy upper will be fine. Finish should be comparable. As for delivery times, that'd be anybody's guess with the number of orders that are being placed these days.

Isnt the RRA R4 cut for extended feed ramps?

If it is you will have to dremel your upper to match the feed ramps.
