After looking around and finding the EE offer for the group buy, why are the 1X7's hard to find?
Thanks

1) Mil spec -> 1/7

2) The common civvie barrel is 1/9, most folks will be ditching their 1/9s for 1/7s to allow firing heavier/longer ammo...

Yup.  Since the heavy bullets are starting to get serious attention now, 1/7 is the hot ticket.

Any chrome line 16" 1/7 pencil barrels with bayonet and flash suppressor?

That's the barrel I'm looking for too. The only one I could find for sale is a Colt barrel from SAW sales which costs close to $400. The only other way I know to get one is have a 16" HBAR 1/7" twist turned down to pencil diameter, which will still be cheaper than the Colt.

Turning down a 16" 1/7 M4 barrel like CMMG sells should be simpler than putting the HBAR on a diet.  The M4 is .620" under the handguards.

They don't seem too scarce to me.

CMMG and LMT have plenty of them.

Know who sells a chrome lined 16" HBAR 1:7 barrel?  Want to get one for a recce carbine project.

I was under the impression Bushy did but you had to special order it over the phone as they don't list 1/7" twist in their catalog.

It was a one time thing, only about 75 were made and they were all post bans. I have one.

Because a lot of people are interested in shooting 73gr and 77gr rounds.  I have two 20" 1x7 FN barrels now and plan on loading some.

I just call up the wizzards that supply our barrels and had one made, Nato chamber, chrome lined and twist is what you ask for, 1/7,1/8,1/9,1/12. All are running fine and I never buy an off the shelf barrel since my supplier does outstanding work, to ad that stock off the shelf barrels are fine for everyone, but I do like to tell them exactly what I like and finish it with my color desired.

You guys can't go wrong with a barrel from CMMG. I bought one and couldn't be happier. I know who I will order barrels from now on. Thanks Arvin

I have to agree the ones I have bought in the past are good to go, but I am looking forward to the LW config Jeff was looking into to.  I am pretty sure, that there is enough on the board that would buy them if they are avialable.
