Well how long is it?

Have a daewoo dr200 but the threaded portion seems very long.....don't remember it being that long when i was in the army.  Looks like i'll need to cut it down.

So how long is it?  My hacksaw is calling to me.

My Colt M4 barrel's threads are 5/8" long.
