I want to order a Bushmaster AR-15 with a Collapsable Stock and a Flash Hider/Suppressor.
The 14.5 barrel with the Flash Hider/Suppressor will make it of Legal Length.

My question is;
What kind of perfomance difference will I get out of these two barrels at 300 meters with one of the barrels being an Inch and a Half Shorter then the other?

No discernable performance difference.  The only difference will ba a tiny amount of increased drop by the 14.5" barrel.  There will be no noticable terminal performance loss at 300 as both will perform poorly at that range.  As fas as accuracy there will be no difference what so ever.

Easy Ruger, "tagged" means he wants to utilized his "My Active Topics" button (which members have) to check back later on this topic, which is an easy way to find this thread again.

Perhaps a modification of your caffine intake is in order.

BTW, a 14.5 " barrel requires a Vortex G6 or Phantom type flash-suppressor permanently mounted to it in order to meet the "legal" definition. The addition of an A1 or A2 legth FS will NOT be legal without a SBR form.

If I choose the 14.5" barrel I will have the barrel threaded with a Vortex Flash Suppressor Silver Soldered to make it a permanent addition.

i chose 16" for better balistics and the length isn't that much more... then i don't have to perm. attach a FS or brake... i can screw whatever i want on at anytime...

I like the 16"... just prefer the length.

Besides, I would rather have the extra 1 1/2 inches... who wouldn't?  LOL

I've decided on the 16" barrel with the Vortex Suppressor Screwed on, not Silver Soldered.
Thanks All.
