Does anyone else hate the A2 pistol grip finger groove?

Man I hate that thingie; doesn't fit me at all, and wants to raise blisters on my dainty fingers. I finally got tired of tracking down and buying A1 grips and just filed and sanded the thing off my last build (it came with the kit, so it was already paid for). Works fine now. My kinda mod: Free.

And the stupid thing keeps you from folding down the trigger guard for cold-weather use (not that I ever do that anyway). Could that have been intentional?

Agreed, the standard grip sucks!
Try the Ergo grip by Falcon.
Much more comfortable.

I don't hate the A2 grip as much as I love the alternatives. SPR grips are on all of my rifles, except for my A4gery.

I hate 'em, too. Don't care for the standard Ergos, either... too narrow for me. Here's a decent alternative if you don't want more to the backstrap: http://www.cactustactical.com/ar15parts.html . Third item down and a great price, too.

Standard grip is ok with me,but I've added a G-27 grip yesturday and love it.

standard A2 is okay, i have a ton of them in storage, I personally love TangoDown grips, they are superb in feel and provides a water tight storage.

I actually prefer Colt A2 grips. They are a bit wider than other A2's and the finger piece helps keep my hand low on the grip where it should be.
