I am going to build a SPR type clone upper, but  I don't shoot at targets over 400yds, or pay for match grade ammunition.

I occasionally like to shoot full auto, and I plan on using a suppressor with this upper. I like chrome bores and barrels. I don't like stainless barrels.

Wouldn't say a Bushmaster 20" govt barrel cut to 18" and a glass block installed work just a well for my needs and be cheaper than one of the custom barrels?

How about a wylde chambered wilson 16" barrel - same thing?  Good choice?  I got one with my Fulton-Armory Guardian rifle.  Is this a good barrel to convert for a "recce rifle"?  It's a 1:9 twist, but can't I use at least 75gr. stuff.  I think Clint fired some BH 77gr. through it as a test once to 200 yrds - good groups.  Would like to do something about that fake supressor though (can I have it threaded for a real FS?).
