From what I know, HK made their own handguard to fit around the gas system.

Any updates on the HKM4 I want one in a bad way. AR Quality and accuracy with AK reliaiblity what a combination.

How come HK propaganda pics of their M4 never have a BUIS? Do they think it looks better? Or do they expect a combat firearm to be deployed with only outboard optics? I don't get it. The gun looks naked.
