RRA unmarked are great for the money. Last one I had, I paid $67.00 for it complete.

I would have to imagine the LMT tube and gen 2 stock are a nice combination.

I have one of the un-marked RRA/Bushmaster stocks, and it has been excellent. But, if I was going to be buying now, I would go with the Cavalry Arms unit from Adrenaline_Arms on the EE!

I'd say go for the LMT stocks, but if money is an issue than RRA is a good choice. There's about a $55 price difference between the two.

This is one of the few times I'd vote Colt. I just sold my Colt 4-position, but from the one time I had it mounted it was very nice for a collapsible.

I agree, that Colt is the best of the standard type M4 stocks, but given the price difference between the Colt and the Rock River, it's just not worth the difference. BTW, the Rock River, Bushmaster, J&T and several other brand stocks are all exactly the same piece, made by the same contractor, so get what's least expensive. Right now that's usually Rock River.

I've used both the no-name aluminum and a Colt 4-position plastic one. No contest; the Colt is far superior. Ever put your cheek on an aluminum stock in cold weather? Not reccommended. Even putting bike tire innertube didn't help all that much.

How about the one for sale on Model 1's web site? They have a 6-position "Fiber Lite" collapsible stock. Does it have the same cylidrical weights in the buffer as Bushmaster claims? Model 1 is asking $42; Bushmaster $99.95

On the cheap buy the RRA stock, best bang for the buck ($67). You could always sell the buffer tube and stock, keep the rest (nut receiver end cap buffer and buffer spring) to upgrade with later.
If you intend on upgrading to the crane or VLTOR buy the Colt style buffer tube either from LMT or VLTOR ($40ish) , and the LMT M4 style stock not the crane.
