I was just wondering who makes the lightest 16" configuration. Calvalry Arms maybe? I'd be looking at a flattop.

bushmaster...

carbon-15 type 97 @ 3.9 lbs.

There's still some debate as to the improvements over the POI POS.

Looks like most of em run ok though.

I would go with an aluminum upper and lower but put a Bushmaster superlight barrel on it.  You'll have the best of both worlds.
