I see that the prices for RRA lowers from Eagle Firearms are up, and that they are out of stock anyway, but these "Stag" lowers are selling for under $90.

Anyone have one of these lowers, and have something to say about them?

EDIT:  BTW, I did a search for Stag Lowers and came up with squat

Just received my Stag lower (from Eagle Firearms).   I purchased the lower assembled but less the buttstock for the same price as a parts kit.  The finish is superb - I have a Colt and an early PWA I would have difficulty chosing among them.  The rear locking lug on my Model 1 upper was a force fit, but with 0.001/0.002" of filing, it fits beautifully.

I don't believe that you can go wrong with the Stag lower.

I have a couple of these too, that I"m waiting to put together after 9/14, if all goes well.

I did put on a couple of stripped uppers, and noticed too, that its a little tight.  With some slight filing, you can get a great fit, without having to resort to using any "accuwedge".

Also, the ones I have, have no caliber markings.....don't know if that's a plus, or minus for most.

Overall, great lowers....compared to my cast Essential Arms J15 (I should have sold it long ago......*sigh*).

My 3 don't have the caliber marking either.

These are good lowers BTW.

Nor do they have a Model number. I don't care. I was told they are called "Stag 15"

I have five of them and I love them all.

I have two of them with consecutive ser #'s.  They are excellent quality.   Buy with
confidence.  I love the Deer head logo.  They look great. I will buy more so don't get
em all.

My FFL just asked what I was going to build - I told them .223.

Good stuff then I guess.

Thanks guys.  I'll call the FFL guy tomorrow and make sure he'll accept them.  Eagle already has a copy of his paperwork on file from when I bought the RRA.  Just have to deside whether to buy one or two.

Me too,  I purchased 3 Stag lowers, full lowers, from EagleFirearms.

Great people there.   They have my endorsement as does the Stag Lowers.

I installed my Rock River upper on the Stag lower and it fit PERFECTLY.   No slop, no filing.

My 3 lowers were stripped.  DPMS LPKs fit perfectly.
