Uh, thanks, but I wanted to know the weight of the RIFLE LENGTH TROY MRF.

I don't think that there are anything but prototypes of this (if even that), and if they exist none have been released to anyone outside of Troy Ind. to my knowledge.

So Cheryl, Brett or Steve would have to answer your question.  They might not even know the "final" weight until they get back from being finished.

Best you'll probably do is a ballpark figure.

I thought the RIFLE length MRFs were being produced, but I guess I was wrong.  I can't wait till this thing comes out.  I like the idea of being able to get to the barrel without having to remove the whole damn thing.  I know that you can do that with the ARMS SIR, but the rifle length SIR just adds too much weight.

Rifle and Midlength MRF's will apparently be instock on June 20th (today) according to their website.

How good is the quality of a Troy MRF in carbine length?  Thanks.

In fact I just got an email from Cheryl yesterday.

She said that they were going to try and post weights by the end of the week.

Quoted from page 5 of the tacked thread " FAQ: The Big Thread On FF & Railed Forends".

Quoted:
I've also been tracking the weights of the forarms (Heck I track the weights of ALL AR assemblies and accessories in a spreadsheet).

Here they are:

Troy MRF-C (Carbine)  13.0oz
Troy MRF-MX (Mid Length) 17.5oz
Troy MRF-R (Rifle) 20.5oz

Weights are 'installed weights' and include 2oz for the barrel nut.
