I've been itching to build another carbine, and saw that Warren (Ameetec_Arms) had an ad posted for $85 lower receivers.
www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=7&f=21&t=211351He's local to me and I've met him previously, so I figured I'd stop in and give one of his lowers a look-over.
Man I was impressed.I've built a lot of lowers, for myself and for friends. I can't remember EVER seeing receivers that looked this nice. For the $85 price I figured I couldn't go wrong, so I filled out the 4473, showed my license and CCW, tossed him the cash (+ AZ tax
) and left with my new lower.
Here's his discription:
As for the AMEETEC LOWERS......inquiries about the constuction are as follows: These lowers are machined from FORGINGS of 7075-T6 Aircraft quality aluminum that are finished with a hard black MIL-SPEC anodize and Teflon seal coating afterwards. This finish is the MOST superior finish an aluminum lower can have.

Here's a pic of the inside, showing the low shelf and smooth, well-machined internals:
Here's the left side, showing the logo, markings, and awesome teflon coat finish:
I used a DPMS lower parts kit, A Cav Arms M4 style stock (fixed, 1" shorter than full length), and a single point sling loop lockplate. All parts went in smooth, a perfect fit:
Showing finish match to upper (this is an upper with a few thousand rounds through it off of one of my existing rifles, I'm not sure what upper I'm going to build for this lower yet):
Overall pic:
For $85 shipped you really can't go wrong, he'll even do 3 lowers for $240 shipped.
I'm not part of Ameetec Arms, in fact he's technically a competitor of mine. I've got nothing to gain by complimenting his product, I just want you guys to see that he's got a VERY high quality lower receiver available at an extremely competitive price. I'd honestly compare the quality with a Bushmaster lower, and the teflon coated finish makes this one even better in my opinion.
Thanks again Warren!
