Well, It did until I realized that the picture I was sent of the "Carbine Standard" was in fact just another picture of the Carbine Clubfoot.

A unique Vltor feature offered on the Rifle Modstock is shaped or a CLUBFOOT shaped rear stock portion. Over the years, many small arms manufactures incorporated the Clubfoot design into their stock profile. In the past, the oddly shaped profile was mainly used in light and general-purpose machineguns. Currently, the Clubfoot design has become a highly requested feature to marksmen and tactical shooters. The Clubfoot configuration aids the shooter controlling the firearm by using the less dominant hand, grasping and forcing the stock against the user's shoulder, decreasing time wasted in acquiring proper sight placement. The Modstock reinforces the old rule of marksmanship, "firmer the hold, tighter the group". |

like bravo said. if you use a single point sling, or other arrangement which prohibits using the sling to press the stock into the shoulder, the clubfoot is for you. it's ugly as hell, but i really dig mine!
