I bought a 16" barrle because I thought if the AWB did sunset, I could legaly thread it and change muzzle devices at will, But I see a lot of barrels advritised as 16.1".  Am I OK to thread my barrlel and throw on a flash suppressor w/o permanatly attaching it if the AWB sunsets?

Edited for board code

As long as the barrel is over 16" in perminent length it doesnt violate the National Firearms Act of 1934.  That .10" is insurance

What if it's 16" on the dot, not 16.1"? Am I still good to go?. I was under the inpresion that a barrel under 16"was in violation of the NFA.

They way I remember hearing the 16.1 coming about is that ATF wanted it 16.1

Yes, as long as its 16" on the dot, its OK, but not a fraction less.....

Bravo is right (at least from what I read in another post. Makes sense though...). My RRA is 17.25" with their A2 brake.
