I am going to put together an upper in the next month or so & wanted to see if anyone has any input about a krieger dcm barrel, or a any upper with a krieger barrel.  any feedback would be appreciated...  ALso,  what upper reciever manuf would you use..  thinking about an armalite flattop upper reciever...

?- it is not going to be used for DCM,  just a project for an accurate AR...  should I stay with the heavy barrel or lighten it up some..
any opinions would be greatly appreciated..

Krieger is the best barrel you can buy.  The DCM is a bit heavy but you can have Krieger make different profiles if you buy direct.  If this is for a DCM rifle used for competition you should be fine with the heavy barrel.  Armalite, Colt, Bushmaster or RRA would all be great choices for an upper reciever.

Another vote for the Krieger.  They take a little longer to settle/break in than say, a Douglass, but are worth it - absolutely one of the best if not the best.
