My brother has an M4 I just built for him using a BM 1/7 and a KAC MRE FF RAS.  We were shooting really light ammo, Black Hills 52grain ammo and his gun shot 1.3MOA.

He had an ACOG so optics could be better but they are pretty good

It got me to wondering what a best round would be for accuracy.

I know experimenting will only tell for sure but what is a goodd place to start?

Try some of the heavier Black Hills:  68gr, 69gr, 75gr, 77gr.  Also try some of the Federal GM Match 69gr.

The M855 seems to shoot better in my 1:7 twist M4 barrel than the M193.

YMMV though.
