You are just asking about the barrel? I believe the Colt upper is what has the "extended feed ramps" machined in it, not the barrel, I think. Do a search on them because I have seen some photos of the extended ramps here.

The M4 feed ramps are a proprietary, patented feature of the M4, a commercial design owned by Colt's. You can easily deepen the barrel ramps to match the Colt's receiver receiver ramps, but it's not necessary.
Been shooting a Bushmaster M4 barrel in a Colt's M4 receiver for close to 3 years with no stoppages. -- Chuck |
