Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Colt 7.62x39 barrel profile

I am trying to gain info on colt 7.62x39 barrels, both 16 and 20 inch. Some people seem to indicate that there are 2 different barrel weights in the 16 inch version, the light weight and the heavy barrel. Does anyone have knowledge to share in this area? THANKS leid

Both 16's that I have had were HBars.

i had a colt sporter that said it was a lightweight but i couldnt tell the diffrence.shot super.i could shoot 1in groups at 100 yds with remington green box.it was also a 16in version.
