I've been looking for some time now, but all I can find are military and LE sites.  Any help would be appreciated.

I think the Remington Custom shop is selling them direct. Give them a call.  Or e-mail them.

Last I saw Remington was selling the whole system deployment ready with starlight (or similar) case and tools.

Check out Cal's Sporting Armory:

The complete SWS kit is listed for $8115, ouch!

Don't mess with the Remington, buy a nice SAko TRG 42, Accuracy International AWM, or a HS Precision in .338 Lapua. You would be much happier. The .338 Lapua will stomp the daylights out of whatever it hits at ranges far greater than a .308.

The .338 would be nice, except for the much heavier recoil, and the 60 dollars for a box of ammo!  You would be much better off and try a custom .308 rifle from somewhere like HD rifles.  It will be cheaper than the remington, and BETTER.

There are better guns available. What's the attraction of the M24?

I like the Robars.  I went with an SR-90 in .300WM and a QR2-F in .308 with the M14 mag option.  I have to admit, I only got them after failing to get an Accuracy International AW...

As long as everyone is suggesting a best rifle I suggest the FN SPR, from cdnninvestments.com (not listed on there site but give them a call )they sell a FN SPR with 18in fluted heavy barrel, detachable mag, built in picatinny rail, Mcmillan A3 stock, built on a pre-64 style M-70 action.

$1200 thats a steal for a guaranteed 1/2MOA or under rifle.
