This is Colt 16.5" [1/9] HBAR(pre-ban) 4 pos stock, w/Aimpoint MXD on Aimpoint forward carry handle rail, QD ring, M4 handguards, TACMIII and Alpec laser(pressure switches mounted for finger tip control) and add'l bayo lug mount. This set-up is so simple(KISS), yet highly effective.

This is a sweet shooter.  Baked the springs and cleaned up the hammer/sear to about 4.5lbs.
Battle zeroed sights are seen thru the Aimoint. The little red dot sits on the tip off the front sight.

Will take out shotgun shells off the berm @75yds easy and volleyballs over 100yds.  Shooting iron sights are loads of fun.

looks possibly front heavy... keep that A2 rail adapter tight...add a pistol grip for better controll of your set up....

With this setup there isn't any muzzel rise.  The recoil is that of my 10/22. Actually the recoil goes back as opposed to up and when rapid cycling, it is dead on.

Got over well 600 rds in this config and never came off of zero.  Thanks for the feedback.

I have seen rails and stuff on different rifles, way too much metal for me..IMHO

I can hip shoot in low light using the laser and hold great @35-50yds in rapid fire.

When I strap the the 2 30 rounders on, it is very solid.

Rapid fire on a 5gal bucket @100yds, I'm all on it, just love the sound of the thud.  I would hate to be on the receiving end.

What is the additional bayo lug for?

To mount a bayo, of course [:d]  16" barrels can't mount a bayo properly because of the distance from muzzle to bayo lug is too long.
