I just recived a colt lower marked Sporter,competition, hbar 2 with ser "JC000xxx
I have looked at a few web sites but all i can find is pre ban ser#.

How do I know if the triger upgraded .
and what is this funkey block over the triger,
if you take it out how do you fill the hole in both sides?

The block is an auto-sear block.  It isn't legally required, and can be removed, but due to the way it was installed, you're best off letting a pro do that work.  Kurt at KKF (see the Industry forums) does this regularly, and fills the holes with black Delron rod.
