Just finished looking at what Shivan calls "Wes' Porn" or Wes' pics of a variety of SPR's in his industry Forum.  All of which had collapsible stocks.  Kick-ass rifles.  

I find that my SPR with a Std A2 buttstock tends to be very front heavy, considering the bipod and float tube.  Can't imagine the rifle with a lighter buttstock on it, such as a collapsible one.

Those who have a collapsible system, could you chime in and let me know what you think.  I may put a fixed M4 Stock on it, but it would only be for looks.

The collapsible stock has a little play, not that I think it has an effect on accuracy.

The collapsible allows me to easilly adjust length for body armor, or CQB (when you want the front of your body [trauma plate] square with the enemy)- and the shorter length helps there too.

Personally the A2 stock even without armor is about 1 inch too long for me so I put collapsible stocks on all my rifles.

The collapsible stocks (esspecially the new style waffle sided stocks are very sling friendly compared to A2 stocks.)

By the way I just fire about 100 40mm grenades with a M4 mounted M203 grenade launcher on Saturday and the M203 was far easier and less awkward to use without the A2 stock. Much easier to take those high angle shots quickly.

It hard to have the best of both worlds. Yes, it would be nice to have a balanced SPR system, but it would also be nice to have stock options.

Yes, the SPR offers a light weight match barrel, but it can handle multi-roles, such as CQB work. That's the beauty about the SPR. I think a great combo would be a collapsible clubfoot stock. Regarding needed weight, strap on depleted Uranium or Tungsen.

I have found Collapsible stock to be uncomfortable and hard to get a good cheek weld essential for good marksmanship (for me)
I have found a great stock from Mag-pul that fits the bill It is well like on this board. I like it because it collapses from the bottom from under the stock, the cheek weld area is always the same but allows for different lengths for boddy position, body armour etc.
It feels just like an A-2 or A-1 stock to me but with the advantages of the telescoping stock.
bad side, its a little costly.

I have one of the MAGPUL M93's on my SPR/SAM and love it.

With a supressor on it does get a bit muzzle heavy (it has a 20" DCM profiel 20 like the USMC SAM) but still a nice system.

I have the Vltor A1 rifle stock and I must say it feels wonderful.

Never even really thought about the Vltor Rifle Stock.  Maybe I'm just a traditionalist?.............Hell no, I live in New Jersey.  The state dictates my choice of stocks.

I have an MSTN SPR and I had the Crane stock on it for the silky cheek weld.  I like the adjustability of LOP for telestocks.  Replacing it with a Vltor carbine clubfoot.  The SPR may be forward heavy, but it's just a range queen for me so I couldn't care less, and it's still pretty handy as it (love that 18" barrel!)

Im sort of halfway building another SPRgery, sort of a weird one, we'll see how it comes out. Its a post ban though, so no collapsible stock for it.

If I were to put one on it would be a Magpul, or a Vltor. Something tight, so Magpul would be my prefference. Its beyond tight, its solid!
