At the last gunshow I purchased a post ban.
colt lw 16" upper with shiney black car handgards and heatshields,
the bolt body has a c stamp bolt has mpyc upper raised c mb and stamp c in a box finish is dark gray barel marking c mp 5.56 nato 1/7.

Is this all original ?
If so what is the model designation?

Put this on a bushy lower and went to the range.
Loud as heck and fun to shoot.
Never noticed the bang of my 20" cmp gun.

That is exactly what my postban colt lw has stamped on it.

If it's got a removeable flash suppressr and a bayonet lug, it's late preban. If a nonremovable (or no) muzzle brake and no bayonet lug, it's post ban.  Either way, it's all Colt. [:D]
