I have a bushmaster xm15a2 Iwant to put a 20 or 24 inch upper on it doe's anyone know much about american spirt arms they make uppers with harris or wilson barrels. Or should I stay with bushmaster I'm new to the ar15 and don't konw the good parts from the bad. I allso posted this in build it yourself topic.

Colt, Bushie, Rock River, DPMS; in that order of preference. Not that you can't get a decent piece from sombody else---just that you have a greater chance of getting one of the lousy ones.

Don't get me wrong, all the above have sent out lemons in their time. But when they do, and you let them know, they take care of it---and the lemon percentage is much lower with the big guys.

Don't forget LMTs, (via Wes at MSTN).  They are equal to Colt and true current milspec.  I've always had good luck with my BM's too.
