I'm interested in hearing anyones experiance with the DPMS 1:7 chome lined 16" Uppers. Good bad or indifferent.

I have two of the CMMG/DPMS M4 uppers (with 14.5" barrels) and I am extremely happy with them.  Quality is equal to other uppers that I own, have owned or handled.  

The CMMG 16" 1/7 M4 A3 uppers are high quality, reliable and accurate, I would not hesistate to buy another one!

The upper is an Anchor Harvey forging used by many of the best AR manufacturers. The upper also has the extended M4 feed ramps and the barrel is made with 4150 steel.  WHat more can you ask for.

That being said they do have a cast front sight base which can be replaced with a forged one by Steve at ADCO for $65.  I highly recommend this upgrade to make the upper fully mil-spec.

I have the preban 14.5" DPMS Chrome lined chamber and bore 1:7 from CMMG.

Its has become my favorite AR that I own. Has not had one hiccup and now has around a good 2k rounds through it!

Really is a wonderful upper.
