FIRSH on a DPMS .936 diameter barrel?

Will it fit? I really want to get one of these for my 16 inch .936 diameter Lo-Pro Classic.

I had a FIRSH on a 20" heavy match barrel that had a 1" diameter under the handguards.

It works fine with HBAR barrels that are ~1" behind the gas plug and that's the part that matters. Why would the size of the barrel in front of the handguard make a difference?

I guess the Lo-Pro is probably 1" behind the gas plug. The only measurement I have for it is the front as I was looking to put a comp on it. Thanks for the info. I'm going to order one right away.
