I remember seeing a sling loop on a rifle that I cant remember what brand it was. It was one that you could mount on any rail, lilke the side rail of a SIR or on the side of an RAS, it was like a flat piece with two screws, and a solid arched loop to either use a regular sling on or H&K style clip even. Does anyone know who makes this one or even what I'm talking about???

I believe you are refering to the Deiter sling set up, I saw it on MSTN's site. I think he has a pic on the EE with one of his adds. not sure which one though--$40 Ithink.

I like the Dieter one because it just seems a bit stronger than standard swivels to me (not to say others are weak mind you), and I think its a bit quieter.

I think that GG&G makes one as well.
