What's the most inexpensive way to do this?  I've pretty much decided on the Phantom, but who can do the gunsmithing to get in on there permanently?  I need to get my barrel to legal length (and yes, it's going on a preban).

Me223 (Ohio Rapidfire) has a much faster turnaround time.  I had him park a barrel and had it back in a week.  He charges $45 for a blind pin and weld and a repark of the FH including return shipping.

Just a couple of thoughts on this...

I have had quite a few people aske that I NOT finish/smooth the weld... rather leave the small weld indication (which is at 6 o'clock). The theory, as I understand, is that it aids in proving that the FS was pinned and welded?

Naturally, the area is cleaned up and refinished with GunKote or park or whatever.

Also, when I weld the pin, I blow air down the barrel... probably not needed, but it makes me think that I am taking every step to reduce the heat actually applied to the barrel.

I'll second the the recommendation for Mike, I've had him do two 14.5" pin/weld/reparks.

I finally got around to sending my stuff to Mike @ Rapid Fire.  I hope to be another satisfied customer.
