Actually it's aluminum or carbon fiber.  I'm talking about free-float handguard tubes.  I've built several rifles with aluminum tubes but have never tried a carbon fiber tube.  Are there any significant advantages of one over the other?

This would be for a general purpose carbine - self defense and range use.

Sweet!  Very cool, Gunzilla.  They do look good.  I've seen lots of accessories added to AR15s but your carbine with the top-mounted tac sling is the first one I've seen with a kick-stand!  Do you sell those? [:D]

The guns I build are all LE/MIL, but we just did a carbine that is fully post-ban compliant and probably will make it available
