I was in Guncraft in Knoxville looking for a lower and the man recommended I try a double star(Im pretty sure this is the name) lower.  I was wondering if anyone had any experience with these or could recommend a good lower reciever for me to get.  I really dont know much about them if you can't tell. :D

Why not stick with a known manufacturer that's tried and true?  I know it's not the answer you're looking for, but buying a name brand will ensure that you get good service and compatibility.  I make it a practice not to trust folks behind the counter, their "advice" may be tainted.

They are probably made by the same company that makes most of the "known manufacture" lowers.  How much was he asking for them?

Double-Star from what I've heard or exceptionally well made lowers. They are made by a sister company of J&T Distributing, and they surely don't make or sell crap.
