What is the forgery?  The 16" vs. 14.5" barrel?  And of course the semi vs. select fire?

I believe the "forgery" is when it is post-ban.

Theoretically, any AR, pre-or post, in an M4 configuration that isn't made by Colt (since they are the "owners" of the M4 name), would be an M4gery.

As I understand it, any M4 that isnt a govt issue is an M4gery. So long as a gun has an M4 barrel, it is an M4gery.

I would have to assume that any AR15, regardless of pre or post ban; govt issue or not; Colt or not, would be an M4gery if it was not select fire.

... One more thing, an M4 is select fire. A forgery is not.

What about the new civi M4 made by Colt.  I don't believe they call it an M4gery!!  Its not a select fire carbine.

(in case anyone skipped school completely, faux is pronounced "foe" and it means false, pretend, or fake.)

Oh crap...  I asked someone what it meant a long time ago and they said "It's French".  You mean that all the jewelry I have been investing in for the last 10 years is not French, but Fake?

That's what they call it in Greenwich Village girls.

Or back in the hood where I grew up M-FO

I have an AR15 Carbine that LOOKS like an M4.  I hate the term M4gery.

Back in the hood I grew up in,M-FO, meant something completely different.

FWIW, I love the term "M4gery", I have two and a "C8forgery"[:D]

Sorry, I was just curious how you got 15 posts out of a simple answer.

I've got an M16A1jury and an M4jury - they always seem to dole out the verdict I'm looking for
