Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Need help buying Colt A-3 Pre-ban.

Ran across a Colt A-3 in pre-ban configuration. How can I tell if the receiver is truly "pre-ban?"  What serial number range etc? Also, any other features I should look for to help determine value?  Lastly, what is the going rate on one of these?

MT000134 and below are preban.  All other "AR-15 A3 Tactical Carbines" are postban, even if they don't have the LEO markings.

The LEO marking requirement didn't go into effect until July or so of 1995, while the effective date of the AW Ban is 9/13/94.
