i am building a lt.wt. 16" carbine and want it post ban($$$$$).
i have a 16" sp1 barrel with 1x12 twist.
i plan on a muzzle brake for it.

I don't think the SP1 carbine barrels are in any great supply, so I'd leave that one as-is.
Contact Bushmaster & order a pre-ban lightweight 16" barrel (threaded, 1/9 twist) w/out the bayo lug.

I do what Spider said. If Bushmaster wont make you one without the bayo lug and threaded barrel (I sort of doubt they will) just send it to Kurt down at KKF. He will grind the bayo lug off and permanantly install one of his many AWESOME postban muzzle devices. He did this same thing to a friend of mines and it looked like it came that way. Supurb work, very fair prices.
