Hi,
I would search for this info but the function is gone.  I want to swap out my A2 stock for a 6 position fiberlite.  What steps are involved and are there any special tools necessary?  Stock is on order but want to get the details ahead of time.

Thanks.

First detail is that a 6-position stock is illegal on a post-ban lower unless it's welded/glued so it's not adjustable.

Second detail, assuming you have a pre-ban lower, is that I think the buffer tubes are different and you might need a special tool for the tube on the CAR stock.

It is a preban rifle so no legal issues.

I did run across these instructions:
old.ar15.com/docs/assembly/lower/

Which shows the A2 stock to only need a screwdriver so I would guess that removal would only need a screwdriver?  Looks like there is a "Telescoping Stock Wrench" for the installation instructions.  Quick check on Bushmaster's website lists this:

Thanks for the help.
