what is the difference between the surefire mb762ssal/re. And the surefire mb556ar. I'm guessing the hole size and thread?

I don’t have an answer but I do own both those cans. If there is something specific that I,as a normal person,can answer(non technical).

One is 1/2x28 and for 556 and the other 5/8x24 for 762. They’ll work on 30 cal cans but the 762 won’t fit in a 22 cal can
