FEEL FREE TO POST MULTIPLE FIREARMS IN SEPARATE IMAGES, heck, you might have 4 or 5 GoTo AR's!
Lets see images and discuss our best AR's, the ones we trust 100%. Tell us why this particular AR rifle, sbr or pisol is your SHTF or DUTY GoTo.  If you're at all like me, you may be collecting a lot of different AR's.  This may be due to the current political climate, the rush of training or maybe simply because you think the AR is one of the best firearm designs ever conceived.  Personally, I could never own too many AR's and hope to continue to add to the collection.  That being said, I do have my favorites.  My GoTo, must haves.

Mine is an LMT MRP.  At 14.5'', it is short enough to wield in confined spaces and also capable of making accurate shots out to 500yrds.  It is Night Vision ready, carries a good flashlight and is equipped with an illuminated 1-4 LPVO.  At 9.5 lbs with spare batteries, spare bolt parts and a bipod, I am comfortable carrying it with a sling for extended periods of time.  Most importantly, I have encountered very few failures and it is accurate.  I try to end most range days and training sessions with a minimum of one Mag fired from this rifle to maintain my familiarity and confidence with it.  I also have a spare 10.5'' barrel which I plan to run Suppressed.  I think the MRP platform is extremely durable and relatively accurate, especially when used in conjunction with an LMT Enhanced BCG.  There is a level of sacrifice in regards to weight, but in my opinion, the pros far out weigh the cons.  I may change to an M-LOK Upper in the near future to shave a few OZ's.
MANY CHANGES HAVE COME

I start with this KAC URX4 Mod 2 w/ E3 SR16 BCG

My Colt/Geissele 11-5 HRT.  This is my first choice, day or night, GoTo AR.

My GoTo Hunting/Truck Gun.  It's a 12-5 LMT in Caliber 6.8 SPC

Your two optic setups are on my very short list of needs. I have a Razor, a Credo, Aimpoints and TA-31's, but an NX8 and TA33 are the next large investments.

EDIT: What's the view with the 12 o'clock mounted light in front of the NF? I can see my cloud defense pressure switch out of my Razor at 1x, just wondering if you have FOV issues with yours. I'm in a standard 1.50" mount.

This "pistol" will be transitioning to HD duty when I make up my mind on the proper light.

Colt EPR 11.5" upper
Colt Brownells special complete lower than left the factory as a lower, not a rifle.
Aimpoint M2 because I'm old school and semi-stuck in my ways
And that Magpul BTR brace that I love so much

This sucker is VERY light. I only have one mag through it though, so it's on the bench until I stop traveling for the year.

Just put this together as an easy access gun for HD.   I got a black Sandman S in NFA jail, so that will most likely be the can that stays on this gun.   Most of it was put together from a BCM9 300 I had laying around doing nothing, and a few parts I had in the toolbox not doing anything either.    Still needs a VFG and light setup which is coming soon.

Yes, rustoleum camo colors and blue painter's tape. Hand cut peices. Place tape, paint first color, more tape, second color, more tape, third color, remove all tape. Really pretty easy. Start to finish was only a couple hours.

Carbines are just heavy, especially when you add NV, Light, and optic.  You just have to train for it baby!

I agree, and I know you have plenty of experience, but at times specific equipment can offset the burden of weight.  Especially
when NODS are required or Stability and Concealment becomes more important than speed.  And when I don't require certain items, I just take em off.  All the Mounts and laser Aiming Devices I run return to zero quite consistently, IME.

Here's a Light Weight AR for ya.  Could be lighter but I'm running a DD CHF Barrel and all T7075 Receiver Parts.  Didn't dare to try anything lighter like magnesium alloys or CF wrapped Barrel @-

I know this doesn't conform with this thread, but I've been tricking out my P365 and I love it.  The TRUE Barrel is great, Feedramp is a major improvement, cycles anything I have ran through it Suppressed. Suppressor height sights coming tomorrow.  Any Members use Night Fision Irons before?     I wanted Trijicon but I couldn't get my hands on any..

Thanks! I say go for it. Nice thing about rattle can is if you don't like it, you just spray it again until you get what you're looking for. I didn't really know how it'd turn out but it was better than expected in the end. After doing the rifle and 4 mags I've learned some things but, nothing major.

Looks good! For my painting, I just used blue painters tape. Hand cut pieces into shape. Paint was rustoleum camo green, brown, and khaki. sequence of events: tape, paint khaki, tape, paint brown, tape, paint green, remove all tape.

I’m somewhat surprised 12 o’clock WML mounting isn’t more common. Works great with TLRs and I’ve even mounted M600s up top. Ambidextrous without tape switches and keeps the rifle slim.

I agree.  In the past I had an X300 mounted 12 o'clock with a Fixed FS behind the WML.  Sort of like this.  Works great.
