Do you have a build that's a mash-up of inspiration from multiple clones?
Did you mash up a bunch of parts from your bin that might have been used in the wild?
This is the thread for you.

If it's in the wild or made by a known military supplier (KAC, DD, G, etc.) game on.
Optics, go crazy.  The reality is strike eagles are being used downrange, there's no clone police here.

For those with absolute purist clones, post them, but please don't shit on the guys just having fun slapping things together.

Post pictures, talk about parts, have fun.

I’m getting there. I amassed more rifles than I need. Then I moved and left my “complete” guns with my brother. Now I’m working on completing 3 and keeping it at that. I need to get a higher end lower for the current project.

Mocking up the Armalite Tube.

That Vero M4 Match (Recce) don't deserve spray paint.  That like rolling house paint on an original Boss 429.

Either way, I think paint or real worn black looks awesome.

I wonder how many other wars have seen the same sort of weapons development.

I suppose the end result of going from M16A2 to the above carbine really isn't that big of a deal in the scheme of things but looking at, and handling them they almost feel like completely different systems.

I suppose starting a war with a 1903 and going to a garand would actually make a bigger difference.

I like the paint on that!  I do not like ACOGs. Just MHO.  I qualified expert on the Army 300 pop up range every time using the AimPoint and then the Elcan (4-5 times with AimPoint and 2-3 times with Elcan).  They made me use the ACOG 1 time and I missed expert.  Of course they gave me the ACOG the day of Qual without a Mini-RDS.  Maybe some more practice would have helped. But your M4 is awesome!

I should have added this as well. I have had quite a few URX II equipped rifles and still have a 10.75" in the parts bin for a later build as well as a rifle length URX 1, 870 RAS, and MRE rail. Needless to say, KAC rails/products dominate my personal colllection.

What about a rifle I built I saw on deployment, bought the upper and took it on my second deployment?

The motivation for my build was because we had a Seal Team spend a few days at out Cop(Shkin). I saw the CPOs MK12, after checking it out I knew that was my next build. After getting home, Raptor22 saw I was looking for a MK12 upper and gave me a really good deal on one of the three he had.

2003, pre turn in Armorer inspection.

2008 Korenghal outpost.

First day of 2nd deployment in Afghanistan 2007

Current pic, she still is plenty accurate, but over the years and who know how many rounds its a 1-1.5 MOA rifle now. It really needs a new barrel, I just dont have the heart to swap it out. After all these years I finally got the almost correct can for it.

Years ago I sold the rings and BUISs to some clone guys, finally went back and put her back to 80% correct condition. Still have the old scope, its on my SR25.
