Curious, how long ago did you receive the returned determination letter stating 30 days? Recently or back towards May timeframe?

According to the letter I received in May, the 30 day period ended on June 25th.

I was curious. I have one there right now, and I haven't hit the 30 days yet from the letter. Guess I'll be waiting awhile...

And two foot groups at 50 yards is nuts. Something is way out of whack. Did it still cycle after this? Possibly a bent barrel? |

Given the nature of how it was damaged and the offer to fix it for free I can't be upset at all over the length of time it has taken. I'm very curious what the issue will be though considering I checked all of the "usuals" already. It's either a bent barrel or something else that's hard to detect. |

I wonder if the upper receiver could have a hairline crack in the threads that's enough to allow some barrel movement, yet no enough that you noticed headspacing issues. I've never dealt with a bent barrel, but wouldn't it at least throw a consistent group, albeit way off?

I guess I will just keep waiting. I'm very happy Colt decided to pick up the tab on this. Shows they really stand behind what they produce.

Another month gone by and no rifle.
Going on 4 months now. Again, happy that they are repairing under warranty but we are getting into NFA wait time territory. |

Since mine was straightforward, I called yesterday. It's currently with a smith. Contact said they have racks of them...they go to the smiths a rack at a time. He anticipated a couple weeks until return shipment.
