Notes:

There are 3 rough iterations of the Mod H:

1)First handful were built at SOTIC armory directly by MSG Holland and another gentleman, using COTS parts ordered from Brownells etc. The one we can see closely had a black Colt Keyhole forged upper, black PRI Gen III handguard rifle length, and a black PRI Recce Rail. The barrel was unmarked, with a heavy/SPR profile, mid-gas, and OPS profile, and coated black. Only 2 of this type have been photographed, one of which may have actually had a Noveske barrel.

2)The second, larger grouping of Hollands were rebuilds of original SPRs. These can be distinguished as they all have FDE Gen III handguards, and retained the upper and lowers from the SPRs, often identified in that the upper and lower have matching worn rattlecan paint but the handguard is unpainted. Often the optics, suppressor, etc matched the upper/lower. These had the Noveske FDE barrels. Non rattlecanned ones you can identify by their uppers being Colt AF forgemark or Armalite (haven't seen one, but likely in the mix).

3)The third iteration apparently were assembled by Precision Reflex, with them supplying new parts for the entire upper. These had Keyhole forge contract uppers coated in FDE, FDE Gen III handguards, FDE Noveske barrels, contract M16 BCGs. These likely were supplied with the Recce Rails, maybe with PRI back-up irons as well (though apparently rarely even used).

I would like to give a special thanks to 18E3V and Nikiel09 for the information about the "Holland" program that they have given over the years in the MK12 thread.  I would also like to thank HaveBlue83 and the other members  who helped in creation of this thread

Unfortunately I’m moving so I’ve posted my mod H upper in the EE along with the Leupold Mk4 to make room and help with the cost. I also have an older Gen ACE Socom stock, with carbine and rifle length tubes to get rid of if anyone in here wants it.

Just gotta say, that pull spring tip for locking down the wobble in an ace stock is totally clutch. Love this thread

Just built this today - waiting on a long bottom rail to come in, but pretty happy with it so far.

Was going for the more recent PRI with an ATACR, but I hate magpul PRS stocks.

Really on the fence to keep this scope in here, or throw on the recce rail I have in the garage.

I received my AEM5 last month and yesterday changed out lower receiver form Anderson to a Griffin Armament. It’s looking good. The suppressor rocks!

Anyone know why the ARMS 22M rings are so hard to find right now? I’ve been looking for a while and can’t find a set

I love me some PA hills :). speaking of, this week the H goes back up to consolidated to shoot....with the barrel I got for it back in 2015 for the first build. I dug it out of the bin to remake the H, and even tho its worn, its been doing just fine. cant wait to take it back out to 580yds again.

Hey guys, been lurking here for a while and finally have my first Mod H inbound in a trade. Only thing it needs is correct scope rings. I’m going to keep searching for the correct ARMS medium rings, but in the meantime Ive seen several issued Mods H earlier in this thread with what appear to be regular (Leupold?) scope rings. Could I use those in a pinch? Anybody have any other info on “clone correct” (but less hard to find!) scope ring options to use that aren’t too high with the PRI recce rail in place?

Thanks for the suggestions!

Will

Nightforce A107's would work on the H with the Pri recce rail. They are 1.125 in height.

NF A107's you'll see quite a bit in the photos in this thread as the others already eluded to.  Working out excellent for me on my H with recce rail and Leup Mk4 3.5-10.  Perfect height imo.

Thanks guys – this is exactly the info I needed. I thought y’all were recommending the NF “extreme duty” rings at first: there are a couple of photos of those in use early in this thread (wider rings, three screws on top), but the A107s look like the ticket. I wish they were cheaper, but that’s not how the clone game goes. 😕

A107s are also what I'm using. Look for a used set, I saved a bunch this way. They pop up pretty frequently.

If you have to decide, keep the OG. I had both and still running the PRI. I repurposed the urx for a different build. Theres just something about the PRI.

For a full clone?  Yeah, I’m aware.  The only thing I’m changing at this point is the optics/mount when I find the scope I want.  Deliberately not doing the revive rail, and staying with a MagPul CTR.  Still can’t decide on buying a AEM5 if I could find one.  I have multiple cans.

CTR is fine, as is no Recce rail, pics of Hollands like that on Page 1.  Gotta at least get an AEM brake and collar though.  C'mon man!

Edit: Capitol Armory has/d AEM brake/long collar sets in stock last night.

Thanks for the Capitol Armory tip.  I should’ve bought the AEM can last year when I was in Korea.  And they were still $600 from esilencers...

This one from page 1 is my inspiration for no recce rail.  I will keep the SiCo brake since I have three cans that work with that brake.

My biggest change will be correct glass and mount.  My buddy traded me that mount for a Larue CAN.  I’m transplanting the Vortex to another upper once I get proper optics for this.

that was my fav looking H setup I had...but the Recce rail gave me shifting zero. evenry time i too it off and went with an upper mount, the issues went away..... :(. I eventually went to a 1.4" Unimount by badger and I'm done chasing dragons. Sometimes I miss the ACE, sometimes not. it was craptastic and always shot loose.....but I did put like 2500rnds through my H from 2015-2019.

Looks so good man. dont sell it.
