Alright, I must be missing something here.  Can someone tell me the difference between these two PSA 10.5" uppers?  The only thing I see is that the description heading for the first one has "NATO" and "2012" in it and has a more detailed description...and the price is different.

Thank you and forgive me it I'm missing something obvious...long day!

only key phrase is related to the barrel profile, implying the "A2 profile" is light under the handguards, and the other is full heavy or at least unchanged under the handguards.

or not, and the one is out of stock, while the other is not...

Thanks, Circuits.  I thought they both said "A2" in the description though?

I caught that 3/4 the way through examining them... gonna half-ass it as "magic"?  not sure.

PSA sells lots of stuff - sometimes hard to keep track of what's on offer.

Interesting...I'm pretty sure the one that is out of stock is less expensive.  Thanks!

So, I added the upper from the second link (the non-"2012" one that is out of stock) to my wish list and it says it is $399.99, vs the one with "2012" (first link) in the description that says $299.99.  Now I'm really confused!

typical sales tactic. mark the price up and list it as being on sale and it will sell out every time because people think they are getting a good deal and dont' bother to check everything else.

I would take the second in your list above there as it states it uses "machine gun" steel whereas the other didn't.  Both bores are chrome lines and 1/7 twist. Not apparent what the gas system is of the second or the first for that matter.

Top one:
Barrel Steel: Cold Hammer Forged Chrome Moly Vanadium
Chrome Lining: Yes, bore and chamber

Bottom one:
"Machine Gun Steel" barrel
Extra-thick chrome-lined bore

These are the differences.

No, they have the same barrel and same FSB. Read further down on the second link's description.

I guess it's time to call PSA...if anyone's interested I'll report back what I find out.

I never ended up getting a chance to call them on these and now it looks like they pulled the second link...hmm

Pretty sure that they are both carbine gas systems since they are 10.5" 5.56mm

One is an old link for a sale price, sometimes they relist an item instead of changing the sale ad.

You are really over thinking this.
