http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2014/11/23/weekend-photo-ultra-light-ounces-pounds-ar-15/ i found this tonight, hadn't seen anything about it before and can't find much information, but under 4lbs just seems insane to me. sorry if someone else had posted this before.

i'm just curious how much this would cost. probably too much for me, but still a cool concept.

Chopped CavArms lower (now sold by GWACS), 9mm upper receiver, Precision Machine & Tool Ti bolt carrier (there are lighter available now), Clark carbon fiber forend, CMMG micro gas block (also lighter on the market now), custom profiled barrel (also lighter available now).  I'm slowly gathering parts for my next lightweight build.  I think I may break 3 lbs.
