I almost bought a 13.7 to run a kx3 with but it wasn't a factory 13.7 guy had chopped and garage rethreaded it.

I am building my 14.5 with pinned 5C1 and when submit an SBR stamp I will add a 12.5 upper and maybe a 10.5

all will be accurate tho. I don't shoot rifles much but when i do I want to hit what i am aiming at, and exactly where I am aiming

All this 12.5....

All my SBR stamps are in The AK realm.

I don't even have a SBRd lower:/

I think my next build will be a 12.5 in the exact same set up as my 14.5. Maybe with a Leupold 1.5-4 though.

I need to go 12.5 to get the barrel in front of a rifle length PRI tube.  I love those things and they will probably end up on all of my future AR rifles.

The mk6 with CMR-W is awesome. It's light, clear, bright glass, the reticle is nice. If not for the illumination issues, it'd be a perfect scope in my opinion.

I have a Mark 6 1-6x with CMR-W reticle and a VCOG with horseshoe reticle.

I prefer the VCOG, but they're both badass optics.

As already said, the Mark 6 would be nearly perfect if it weren't for the illumination issues without perfect head position.

And yes, I have a 'Y' serial numbered Mark 6 manufactured in 2014. It's been claimed that the illumination issue was fixed with 2014 manufactured "Y" serial numbered Mark 6's, but I can surely tell you that's not the case with mine.

The VCOG is a better 1x optic. More forgiving/generous eye relief, the illumination is perfect at any angle/head position - it's nearly just like an RDS on 1x.

On 6x, the Mark 6 is king though. Better ranging reticle, slightly better glass, larger FOV.

They both have their strengths.

I never realized how nice the FOV was with my mk6 until I started comparing it to other things. Currently have a TA33 on one of my rifle, and I feel like I'm looking through a straw in comparison.

I would consider the TMR-D too. The BDC reticles only match a certain load and in certain conditions. Good enough for large targets I suppose, but I think the TMR gives you the ability to be a little more precise if you range then dial as opposed to holding over.

The CMR has a mil scale in the vertical and horizontal, you can range and dial just like with the TMR.

Just waiting on some barrel and handguard sales to finish mine off.  Initially it'll have an Aimpoint PRO until the funds are built up enough for a 1-4/6x scope.

I thought the vertical stadia had an odd spacing to match the bullet drop. I know it has the smaller separate vertical one off to the side with normal mils..

Yeah, I am really liking these.  I was hoping mine would show up in the more copper color, thought it would look cool on the all black.

BCM standard 14.5 with a Blackout...and no fucking pin I have shorter flash hiders since this is SBR but these are great.  I have the 51Ts just waiting...
WMD BCG
Rainier complete lower with Geiselle SSA
Sprinco Blue and H2
Vortex PST in LT104 and Larue branded Troys.

That glass will have to stay for a while, I am saving up for something better on the .308

They've been down since late Spring / early Summer 2014. I spoke with a supervisor at the ATF earlier this Fall & she said they had no plans to reinstate eForm 4s anytime soon until they find suitable software or a fix to the current system. She said that they have diverted additional manpower to help clear the paper backlog & finish approving the last of the eForm 4s which I can't imagine there are any still in electronic limbo.

eta: Your friend was prolly referring to the eForm 1. Those are fast.
