It looks like the old thread got archived, is there a way to get it back?

I got my receivers and rail back today and they turned out pretty awesome.  It's a bit darker than burnt bronze as its mixed with black.  Gotta figure out what color furniture I want, black or FDE.  Which would look better?  The gun is going to be SPR'ish, it will have a scope and probably a bipod.

for reference, that other receiver is Tungsten

That blows.  PM Lancelot and see if he can give it immortality.  It can be done.

Someday I was going to actually learn how to take good pics like you guys, and repost in there.

Got it mocked up a little.  I'd like to sell that 16" barrel and get an 18" to put in it, but I haven't had much luck in selling it yet.

Looks good against black. I'd go with black furniture. Who did the work?

It looks good, so much better with 10% black in the mix.

In the old thread someone did 80/20 and 70/30 i think which in my opinion looks even better.  I wonder how much those companies that do "midnight bronze" use for their black/bronze mix

Dan_Gray did the cerakote, he's done a couple of guns for me.  Does great work at a very reasonable price and has a quick turnaround. I believe this was about a 65:35 burnt bronze:black mix.

Got most of it put together, still need to figure out the scope, get a bipod and it's missing a few small pieces. It's not too heavy for an 18" barrel at 7.75 lbs, but weight isn't too much of a concern since it's more of a bench gun anyway.  It's my first side charger, it's a pretty cool feature.

NFA side-charging upper
NFA "Battle of Gonzalez Flag" lower
18" Mega SPR stainless nitrided barrel
Fortis 14" Rev hand guard
Geissele SD-E

Got an Atlas bipod on the way, I'm still trying to decide on a scope.
