Looking good! You'll love the SS with the panels. I have one on my pistol with the handstop on one and it works great.

As far as irons go, I really like the MBUS Pro's. Nice and small when folded down, but easy to use when up.

That upper receiver looks strangely familiar ..... New Frontier, Joe Bobs Spartan. Which I happen to be waiting for to come back in stock.

Thanks. Which one did I sell you? It has been too long for me to remember. I hope that it is still running just fine.

I just did most of the work to my upper assembly. Installed the BCM 14.5" mid-length barrel, mid-length gas tube, BCM gas block, Midwest Industries 12-inch Gen2 SS-Series One Piece Free Float Handguard - BLACK, and Midwest Industries G2SS PANEL KIT (FDE). Next is to get a FH pinned and soldered and acquire a set of BUIS.

I made a decision. I just ordered a JP Enterprises Compact Tactical Comp with Persuader Front End and a set of MAGPUL MBUS sights from Primary Arms. The nice thing about the JP Comp is that it is pre-drilled for pinning and soldering and includes the pin and crush washer.

It was a lauer custom weaponry lower with a Midwest two piece quad rail and pinned phantom...which over the years has since been upgraded and swapped out and etc.

I remember that one. It was the only one that I used a LCW lower on. That was a good build. That has been quite a few years ago.

Looks good. The upper and lower's lines and countours mesh together nicely

I forgot to mention that tomorrow I am going to try and get it to the range for its maiden session. I am excited to finally being able to shoot it.

Well guys, the range trip was a major success. The weapon ran flawlessly (XM193 ammo). This is one of the smoothest shooting ARs I have ever built and owned. The combination of the BCM 14.5" mid-length barrel, JP Enterprises compensator, the NiB M16 BCG, and standard carbine buffer worked like a charm. I got the Aimpoint PRO sighted at 50 yards and after that, I was hitting targets at 110 yards easily. The recoil was negligible. I am extremely please. I would venture to say that it is just as smooth as my BCM Jack Carbine. It did cost less, but just a few hundred dollars less.

NFA made billet receiver, I first saw prototypes of it in July of 2013.  It's compatible with our BAD-ASS-ST and BAD-CASS-ST short throw selectors

I did notice that the receiver had the notch that is required for the BAD selectors. I just do not have a need for an ambi-selector.

The notch / engraving is set up for their 45 degree short throw selector.  Pretty neat product!

Thanks for sharing your build.....looks great and glad to hear it shot well for you!

You guys did a great job on the receivers. I really like the pin setup for the bolt release. Beats a roll pin any day. Everything fit really well.
